Jewelry and Watches
The island of Aruba got its name from the ancient gold miners. Aruba means "red gold" ("ore" for gold + "ruba" for red.) The miners have long since gone and now instead, the tourists come searching for gold. These days, they have a tendency to find it in the luxurious jewelry shops of Aruba along with diamonds, emeralds, and more! There are jewelry stores in many of the hotels, but the best selections are in Oranjestad. Our favorite jewelry store by far is Gemani. We work with Max and Lucky who are masters at helping me find exactly the right piece. They listen carefully to my ideas and then find what I'm looking for not what they want me to buy. I really appreciate their patience and the excellent prices and selection offered by Gemani. I highly recommend you stop by Gemani and tell them Holly from ArubaHouse sent you.
